Government Council to Convene on Thursday

Rabat – A Council of Government meeting will be held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, according to a press release issued by his Department on Tuesday.

At the start of its proceedings, the Council will examine a draft law amending and supplementing the law reforming the Regional Investment Centers (CRI) and creating unified regional investment commissions.

In addition, the Council will be examining two draft decrees, the first of which sets out the procedures for drawing up the list of arbitrators, as well as the related conditions for registration and de-registration, while the second concerns the design, production and maintenance of aircraft, adds the press release.

Subsequently, the Council will examine an agreement concluded within the framework of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, concerning the conservation and sustainable use of marine biodiversity in areas beyond national jurisdiction, adopted in New York on June 19, 2023 and signed by th
e Kingdom of Morocco on September 21, 2023, in addition to a draft law approving the said agreement, notes the same source.

At the end of the Council’s proceedings, the government will hold a meeting to examine proposed legislation, concludes the same source.
