Sudanese President Omer Al-Bashir and his counterpart from Chad, President Idris Deby, will attend the opening session of the Sudan-Chad Border Conferemce to be he;d on Feb 21 and 22 in the border town of Al-Genaina, the capital of Sudan's West Darfur state.

The High Preparatory Committee for the conference held its meeting here Tuesday, chaired by the Vice-President Hassabo Mohamed Abdul-Rahman, to discuss arrangements for the Conference and the report presented by the presidential delegation which visited Chad recently to invitate President Deby to attend the conference.

The Governor of West Darfur State, Fadl-Al-Mula Al-Haga, said in a statement that the Conference would discuss various economic, cultural and security issues in addition to the development of initiatives by the Joint Sudan-Chadian Forces to boosted security along the common border.

Al-Haga underlined that the West Dafur State administration had completed preparations for hosting the Conference which, he added, would convene important conditions which constitute a huge progress of Sudanese-Chadian relations.
