Enda Kenny will warn today that Ireland’s stability and prosperity will be at stake if Britain decides to leave the European Union.
The taoiseach will make a keynote address at Ulster University in Belfast today before campaigning with David Cameron, the British prime minister, in Manchester later this week. He will also visit Liverpool and Glasgow.
His warning comes after Peter Sutherland claimed that Northern Ireland’s economy would suffer “wanton destruction” if voters in the UK chose to leave the EU. The former director-general of the World Trade Organisation said that companies could flee Ireland if Britain were to leave
