Khartoum: The University of Khartoum on Monday received the first batch of electronic devices donated by Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Preparing the Environment for the Return of Citizens to Khartoum State, Lt. Gen. Engineer Ibrahim Jabir Ibrahim, in support of academic stability at the university.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Khartoum, Professor Emad-Eddin Aradeib, stated in a press briefing that this first batch of devices came within the state’s efforts to rehabilitate and reconstruct higher education institutions. He noted that the TSC member, who also chairs the Supreme Committee for Preparing the Environment for the Return of Citizens to Khartoum, has been closely following the university’s reconstruction efforts after the destruction caused by the war, in addition to providing essential support to advance the educational process.
He further explained that the university administration on Monday received 60 laptops, projectors, and smart screens through Sudatel Telecom Company, stressing that these devices and equipment will greatly contribute to the university’s efforts to resume classes and welcome new students in October.
