Port Sudan: The United States has condemned the drone attacks targeting Portsudan and Kassala, reportedly carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), describing them as a ‘dangerous escalation’ in Sudan’s ongoing war.

According to Sudan News Agency, the U.S. Bureau of African Affairs of the State Department released a statement on Monday, condemning the recent drone attacks allegedly conducted by the RSF on critical infrastructure and civilian targets in Portsudan and other locations across the country.

The State Department emphasized that these attacks represent a significant escalation in the war. The U.S. also expressed concern over reports of RSF violence against civilians and aid workers in North Darfur’s El-Fashir city. It reiterated calls for unhindered humanitarian access and the protection of civilians.
