U.A.E. PRESIDENT ORDERS URGENT RELIEF AID FOR FLOOD-HIT SUDAN
DUBAI, - United Arab Emirates (UAE) President, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, ordered on Saturday, the government-controlled Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Foundation, to send urgent relief aid to flood-hit Sudan.
The relief aid, which comprises food, tents and pesticides, was dispatched to help Sudan address the floods that caused serious damage in the country.
The assistance "aims to alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Sudanese people, especially those affected by the floods, that swept across a number of states in Sudan," an official source at the Khalifa Foundation was quoted as saying.
