Two mosques restored, reopened in Arad, Muharraq

The Sunni Endowments Council has announced the rehabilitation and reopening of the “Omar Bin Al-Khattab Mosque” in Arad and the “Abdulwahab Al-Zayani Mosque” in Muharraq after the completion of their maintenance work.

The move is based on the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to inaugurate, restore and develop 30 mosques belonging to the Sunni and Ja’fari Endowments, located across the Kingdom’s governorates, as part of a development plan for mosques.

On the occasion, Sunni Endowments Council Chairman, Dr. Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al-Hajeri, praised the constant care enjoyed by houses of worship in the kingdom, thanks to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the follow-up of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He added that the Sunni Directorate is exerting tremendous efforts to complete the maintenance of all places of worship to create good conditions for the worshipers to perform their worship in an atmosphere of tranquility, comfort and reverence, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab and Islamic nations further progress and prosperity.
