Turkish Airlines Resumes Flights to Sudan via Port Sudan International Airport


Khartoum: Turkish Airlines has resumed flights to Sudan through Port Sudan International Airport. Sudan Civil Aviation Authority Director General Abubakr Al-Siddig Mohamed Abdullah was officially invited by Turkish Ambassador Fathi Yildiz to witness the inauguration of the first Turkish Airlines flight at the airport on 17 September.



According to Sudan News Agency, the Director General emphasized the importance of the airline’s return. He pointed out that Turkish Airlines plays a crucial role in facilitating travel between Sudan, Turkey, and international destinations. During the event, he also reviewed ongoing operations at Khartoum Airport and the Air Traffic Control Center, underscoring the broader impact of Turkish Airlines’ operations on the region’s aviation infrastructure.
