Riyadh: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, reaffirmed Sudan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people during his address at the joint Arab-Islamic Summit held in Riyadh. He commended the Palestinian struggle for independence, emphasizing the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
According to Sudan News Agency, General Al-Burhan underscored the necessity of ending the Israeli occupation of all Arab territories, including the Syrian Golan Heights, to achieve lasting peace in the Middle East. He called for adherence to Security Council resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative of 2002.
Furthermore, the TSC President urged the international community to expedite the implementation of the two-state solution, halt hostilities, prevent conflict escalation, and ensure humanitarian aid reaches displaced individuals and refugees in Gaza.
