Doha: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, held a bilateral meeting with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, on the sidelines of the Extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha.
According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting focused on the course of bilateral relations and explored ways to enhance joint cooperation between Sudan and Qatar. General Al-Burhan provided an update on the latest developments in Sudan, emphasizing the deep-rooted historical ties between the Sudanese and Qatari peoples.
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani reaffirmed Qatar’s support for Sudan’s unity, security, stability, and territorial integrity. He expressed Qatar’s interest in contributing to the achievement of peace and stability in Sudan at the earliest opportunity.
