TSC President Discusses Security and Humanitarian Efforts with Blue Nile Governor.


Khartoum: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, met with Ahmed Al-Omda Badi, the Governor of the Blue Nile Region. The discussion focused on the security, service, and health conditions in the region, and the ongoing efforts to address the needs of citizens, including support for displaced persons and refugees.

According to Sudan News Agency, Governor Badi provided a comprehensive briefing to General Al-Burhan on the security situation in the Blue Nile Region. He highlighted the successful integration of the SPLA forces into the armed forces, which has contributed to significant security stability in the area. The meeting also addressed challenges related to the displaced population and the return of citizens from South Sudan and other parts of Africa.

Badi further informed the TSC President about the difficulties faced by the displaced, emphasizing the region’s transformation into a displacement area. He also disc
ussed the preparations underway to ensure a successful agricultural season, with plans to cultivate 4 million acres. The governor condemned the violations by rebel terrorist militias against local citizens and farmers.

Efforts by the regional government to support displaced persons were also highlighted, with Badi noting the region as a model of peaceful coexistence among its diverse components.
