Khartoum: The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, has firmly stated that the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), along with other regular forces and mobilized individuals, are resolutely advancing to dismantle the rebellion and eliminate the criminal militia led by Al-Dagalo.
According to Sudan News Agency, during the “Women’s Issues in Eastern Sudan” conference, General Al-Burhan addressed concerns about a rumored political forces conference, clarifying that such discussions are baseless. He emphasized that no settlement is being pursued with any political party and that circulating such claims is entirely false. He further encouraged those who have laid down their arms and chosen peace, assuring them that the path of repentance and return to righteousness remains open.
The TSC President underscored the government’s dedication to addressing women’s issues, advocating for leveraging Eastern Sudan’s resources to promote the development and empowerment of women in
the region. He lauded the continuous contributions of Sudanese women nationwide in supporting the armed forces to defend the country.
General Al-Burhan committed to personally overseeing the implementation of the conference’s resolutions, ensuring they are realized. The conference saw participation from the governors of eastern states, members of the diplomatic community, leaders of official state bodies, women’s sectors in Eastern Sudan, and various media representatives.
