Khartoum: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan and the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, convened a closed-door bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the Arab-Islamic Summit. The discussions centered on the progress of bilateral relations and enhancing prospects for joint cooperation between Sudan and Saudi Arabia.
According to Sudan News Agency, TSC President Al-Burhan briefed the Saudi Crown Prince on the current developments in Sudan following the rebellion by the Al-Dagalo (Rapid Support Forces) militia. The rebellion has led to violations against civilians, targeting of innocent citizens, and damage to vital institutions and infrastructure in Sudan.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reiterated Saudi Arabia’s support for Sudan’s unity, security, stability, and territorial integrity. He highlighted the deep-rooted relations between the Saudi and Sudanese peoples and expressed a desire for t
he establishment of peace and stability in Sudan to alleviate the suffering of its people.
