Khartoum: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Shams-Eddin Kabashi, has underscored the Sudanese government’s commitment to collaborating with United Nations agencies and organizations involved in humanitarian work to facilitate the delivery of aid to those in need.

According to Sudan News Agency, General Kabashi, in a meeting with the UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Tom Fletcher, discussed the ongoing efforts by the Sudanese government and UN agencies to provide humanitarian assistance to individuals displaced by the ongoing conflict. The meeting, held at General Kabashi’s office on Tuesday, focused on strategies to ensure that aid reaches those most affected by the war.

Tom Fletcher highlighted that the purpose of his visit was to sensitize the international community to the severe consequences of the conflict in Sudan. He emphasized the importance of global awareness and support in addressing the humanitarian
crisis unfolding in the region.
