portsudan: TSC Member Jabir has instructed the Wali of Al-Gadarif to organize food and shelter convoys for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Al-Subagh and Al-Faw. During a meeting in Portsudan on Monday with the Acting Wali of Al-Gadarif State, Lt. Gen. Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, Lt. Gen. Engineer Ibrahim Jabir, a member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), issued directives to mobilize essential aid for displaced populations.

According to Sudan News Agency, the acting Wali of Al-Gadarif State stated that the convoys are to be dispatched urgently to meet the humanitarian needs of IDPs, providing food, shelter, and clothing. The acting Wali emphasized that these efforts are a response to the large influx of IDPs into the state, driven by recent events in eastern Al-Gezira.

The acting Wali of Al-Gadarif State confirmed that the dispatched convoys aim to fulfill the basic needs of the displaced individuals. He highlighted the ongoing collaboration between the state government and humanitarian organiz
ations, including the Zakat Chamber and other charitable entities, to provide necessary services to those affected.
