Omdurman: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Dr. Nuwara Abu Mohamed Tahir, affirmed the state’s interest in and support for the health sector, recognizing it as one of the vital sectors of the country.
According to Sudan News Agency, in her address at Al-Thawrah 20th Hall in Omdurman, during the ceremony organized by the National Council for Medical and Health Professions to integrate new medical cadres, she called for intensified efforts to meet the challenges facing the health sector, particularly in environmental sanitation. She also highlighted the significant roles played by the Ministry of Health in providing medical and therapeutic services to citizens during the past period.
It is noteworthy that 850 medical cadres took the oath today to receive their professional licenses, bringing the total number of medical cadres supplied by the National Council for Medical and Health Professions to around 2,500.
These medical cadres have contributed to the restoration of services in 24 hospitals and 210 health centers across Khartoum State.
