TSC Member Dr. Nuwara Inspects Conditions at Sennar University, Pledges Support for Student Accommodation


Sennar: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Dr. Nuwara Abu Mohamed, inspected, during her official visit to Sennar State, the progress of work at Sennar University and the scale of destruction inflicted upon some of the university’s faculties due to militia attacks.



According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. Nuwara was accompanied during the visit by the Wali (governor) of Sennar State, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Al-Zubair Hassan Al-Sayid, alongside members of the state security committee and a number of officials.



For his part, the Vice-Chancellor of Sennar University, Professor Abdel-Rahman Ahmed Mohamed Ismail, affirmed the university’s full readiness to receive students. He praised the outcomes of the visit, appreciating the concern shown by TSC Member for the state’s higher education institutions.



Meanwhile, the Secretary of the National Student Care Fund in Sennar State, Mohamed Abu Sabeeb, pointed to an accommodation gap in student dormitories. He indicated that a detailed report on the matter had been delivered to TSC Member, who pledged to support official efforts to address the shortages and improve the residential environment for students.
