El-Fashir: Three civilians were killed and eight others injured, including women and a child, during shelling incidents in the city of El-Fashir. The Sudanese Armed Forces’ Sixth Infantry Division announced that it had successfully thwarted an escape attempt by seven members of the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. This encounter occurred on the southern axis of El-Fashir, where the combat vehicle used by the RSF was completely destroyed, along with its equipment and personnel.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Sixth Infantry Division issued a press statement detailing the ongoing violations by the RSF militia, which include the shelling of the city with 120mm artillery. This attack resulted in the tragic deaths of three civilians and injuries to eight others, comprising four women and a one-and-a-half-year-old girl. The injured individuals were swiftly transported to hospitals for necessary medical treatment.
The Division assured that the situation is under the control of the Armed Forces, expressing confidence in their impending victory, attributing it to divine will and the unity and determination of the soldiers. They urged citizens to disregard rumors and destructive activities, emphasizing that patience is crucial to finding relief and that the current hardships are minimal compared to past struggles.
