SUDANESE PRESIDENT IN SAUDI ARABIA TO ATTEND MILITARY MANOUEVRES
HAFR -AL-BATIN, SAUDI ARABIA, March 10 -- Sudanese President Omer Al-Bashir has arrived in Hafr Al-Batin, Saudi Arabia, to attend with King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, and a number of other heads of State the conclusion of the North Thunder Military Exercise on Thursday.
He was received upon arrival at King Saud Military Base Airport in the kingdom's Eastern Sector by Deputy Crown Prince and Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Prince Mohamed bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, the Saudi Chief of Staff and a number of senior officials.
The North Thunder Military Exercise is considered one of the biggest military training events in the world with forces from 20 Arab and Islamic countries participating in the manoeuvres which lasted for three weeks.
Saudi Arabia had established last December a new coalition of 17 Arab countries and 17 Islamic countries to fight extremist groups.
