Tehran: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Ali Youssef met with the Speaker of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, at the start of his visit to Iran, accompanied by several members of the Iranian Parliament. Qalibaf welcomed the Sudanese delegation and expressed his pleasure over the reopening of the embassies of both countries, highlighting the positive development in Sudanese-Iranian relations.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Iranian Parliament Speaker expressed sympathy for the ongoing war and instability in Sudan, attributing these issues to external conspiracies against the country. This meeting marks a significant step towards strengthening bilateral relations between Sudan and Iran.
Foreign Minister Dr. Ali Youssef expressed his satisfaction with visiting the Islamic Republic of Iran and congratulated the Iranian Parliament Speaker on the 46th anniversary of the Iranian Islamic Revolution. He provided an overview of the current situation in Sudan and expressed gratitude for Iran’s support. Dr. Youssef also extended an invitation to Qalibaf to visit Sudan, highlighting hopes for Iran’s role in Sudan’s reconstruction phase.
