Sudanb's First Vice-President and Prime Minister, Lieutenant-General akri Hassan Salih has been briefed by the Minister of International Co-operation, Idris Suleiman, on the outcome of his recent participation in the ministerial meeting of the EuropeanA Union (EU) with the African-Caribbean-Pacific (ACP) Group which was held in Brussels.
The minister indicated that the meetings discussed a number of political, economic and social issues and matter reated to the Cotonou Agreement relating to ACP-EU co-operation. He referred to the close co-operation between the member states in the group on the grounds that the group represent a platform for dealing with the EU.
The Minister of International Co-operation indicated that he met with officials at the European Union and discussed the co-operation between Sudan and the European Union, explaining that he felt understanding from the European officials' side.
He said that the European Union had vowed to support Sudan in the coming period in several domains.
He said that his ministry would study with the European Union the priorities for implementing development, services and environment projects in Sudan.
The minister said that he also acquainted the First Vice-President andl Prime Minister on the outcome of visits to Sweden and Finland, adding that Sudan expects to receive financial support of 14 million US dollars from Sweden
