Muscat: Sudan’s Ambassador to Oman, Salah-Eddin Al-Haj Mohamed Al-Kandao, announced the establishment of a new center for Sudanese Secondary Certificate Exams at the embassy, marking the first time such a center has been set up. This initiative will cater to 500 male and female students who will sit for the exams.
According to Sudan News Agency, Ambassador Al-Kandao detailed that approximately 4,000 students have been accommodated in Omani schools, many of whom arrived without educational documents. The embassy has been collaborating with Omani authorities to resolve these issues, ensuring that admissions are approved with parental consent.
During a meeting with the Minister of Education in Portsudan, Ambassador Al-Kandao discussed the arrangements for establishing the exam center. The discussions also covered educational relations between Sudan and Oman and explored ways to leverage the expertise of Sudanese teachers residing in the Sultanate.
