SUDAN, TURKEY SIGN AGREEMENT TO CO-OPERATE IN SECURITY FIELD

KHARTOUM, Sudanese Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Ismat Abdul-Rahman and his Turkish counterpart have signed Tuesday an agreement on bilateral co-operation and co-ordination in all security issues.

The Interior Minister said in statement upon his return here Tuesday from a visit to Turkey that the agreement also covered co-operation between Sudan and Turkey in all the security and police fields and in fighting terrorism, crime in all its form, drugs and fighting across-border crime.

He indicated that the agreement also included support for the co-operation, training and work for adding scholarship in the post-graduate studies, especially in the security fields, besides continuous training on the level of the military academies, exchange of information and setting a programme for the exchange of visits between the two sides for following up on the implementation of the agreement.
