Khartoum: The Sudanese National Football Team has successfully qualified for the 2025 African Nations Cup (CAF) finals in Morocco following a goalless draw against the Angolan National Football Team. This decisive match in the continental qualifiers took place at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium in Libya on Monday evening.
According to Sudan News Agency, Sudan’s performance in the qualifiers has been commendable as they raised their score to eight points, securing the second position in Group Six. Angola topped the group with 14 points. Despite the inability to score in the match, the goalless draw was sufficient for Sudan to advance to the finals.
The Sudanese team’s strategy and determination were evident throughout the match. While they couldn’t convert their efforts into goals against the Angolan side, their defensive tactics ensured a crucial point, allowing them to continue their journey towards the prestigious tournament in Morocco.
