Sudan Participates in AIIB Meeting in South Korea
The Sudanese Finance Minister Mohamed Osman Al-Rikabi and Central Bank of Sudan Governor Hazem Abdul Qader participate in the second annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank(AIIB) in South Korea, inaugurated on Friday by the Korean President Moon Jae.
The meetings will be held from June 16-18, and Sudan is one of thecapital shareholders of 80 countries from Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia and Latin America.
On the sidelines of the meetings, the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan met with theAIIB President, where they discussed the areas in which the Bank could contribute to Sudan and agreed with the AIIBthat Sudan would submit the completed projects in terms of study to the Bank for consideration, they also agreed to provide Sudan with technical assistance in various areas.
The AIIBPresident welcomed the invitation to visit Sudan, stressing that he visit Sudan during his expected visit to a number of African countries.
