SUDAN KEEN TO BOOST TIES WITH CENTRAL AFRICAN REP., SAYS PRESIDENT
KHARTOUM,-- President Omar Bashir has re-affirmed Sudan's commitment to boosting relations with the Central African Republic (car) for the achievement of their joint interests.
The president said thios here Monday when he received Bencambo Email, the special envoy of the president of the CAR.
The envoy had stressed that boosting relations between the two countries would help overcome many of the challenges in the area along their common border, referring to the leading role Sudan played and its place with the people of the CAR.
He added that it was imperative for the two sides to co-operate in the establishment of economic projects given the huge potential and natural resources the two countries had.
He also pointed out in media statement issued afer he called on the president that he briefed the president on the desire of his country for Sudan to be a focal point for the Gulf region and to help effect sustainable development which can help the CAR develop.
