ADDIS ABABA, -- Ethiopia's new ambassador to South Sudan, Fisseha Shawel, has presented his credentials to President Salva kiir Mayardit in Juba.
During Thursday's ceremony, Fisseha said he would work hard to further strengthen the historical relations of the two neighbouring countries.

President Kiir said the role of Ethiopia in his country's independence struggle and the peace process agreed in Addis Ababa in 1972 was immense.
He noted that the recent negotiations to resolve South Sudan's conflict which began in December 2013 between the rival parties had also been conducted in Ethiopia.
