PRESIDENT VOWS TO MAINTAIN SECURITY AND STABILITY THROUGHOUT SUDAN
KHARTOUM, April 17 (NNN-SUNA) - Sudanese President and Chairman of the ruling National Congress party Omer Al-Bashir has stressed that the government will not leave any spot of land in the country outside the State's control and will maintain security and stability throughout the nation.
Addressing the conclusion of the reactivation conference of the National Congress of Khartoum State in Burri Sunday, President Al-Bashir also reiterated his call to the remaining armed movements in the country to abandon rebellion and to join the National Accord and its peace process.
He said all the 116 parties and armed movements which participated in the National Dialogue would be included in the National Accord government, adding that their participation in government following elections in 2020 would be based on the parties' political weight.
President Al-Bashir stressed that the Sudanese people had willingly and with confidence in that National Congress' capabilities, participated in the national dialogue, affirming that no circle in the world can exert pressure on Sudan.
He announced that the coming stage will witness more openness in the level of Sudan's foreign relations. Sudan is already enjoying excellent relations with Arab, African and Asian countries, and added that relations with the West are progressing well.
