PRESIDENT OF BELARUS BEGINS STATE VISIT TO SUDAN

KHARTOUM, President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus has arrived in Khartoum for a two-day State visit to Sudan at the invitation of President Omar Al-Bashir.

President Lukashenko, accompanied by a high-level official delegation and a delegation of businessmen, touched down at Khartoum Airport late Monday and was received by {resident al-Bashir. Also present were Cabinet Ministers and foreign ambassadors in Khartoum.

On Tuesday, he is scheduled to have talks with President al-Bashir at the presidential palace here on means of expanding horizons of co-operation between the two countries in the economic domains.

Following their discussions, the two Heads of State will witness the signing of a number of economic co-operation agreements.

The Belarusian president is also scheduled to deliver a speech to the Sudanese National Assembly Parliament) on Tuesday.
