Mohy-Eddin Salim Sworn in as Minister of Foreign Affairs before TSC President


Khartoum: Ambassador Mohy-Eddin Salim was sworn in Friday as Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation before President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister, Dr. Kamal Idris, the Representative of the Chief Justice, and TSC Secretary-General Lt. Gen. Mohamed Al-Ghali Ali Yousif.

According to Sudan News Agency, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation congratulated the people of Sudan on the victories achieved by the Armed Forces and other groups in the ongoing Battle of Dignity aimed at preserving Sudan’s sovereignty, unity, stability, and security. He asserted that under his leadership, Sudanese diplomacy would carry a message of peace to all willing to walk the path of peace.

The Minister acknowledged the significant transformations occurring globally and regionally, emphasizing that Sudan will adapt its diplomatic approaches to align with th
ese changes. He expressed a commitment to defending Sudan in regional and international forums, emphasizing that conspiracies against the nation have persisted for years. Despite the challenges, he affirmed Sudan’s resilience and determination to overcome adversities.

Minister Salim concluded by extending an invitation to all, except those opposed to peace or conspiring against Sudan’s sovereignty, to reconsider their stances. He reassured that Sudan remains open to collaboration, highlighting the importance of extending hands to those willing to work towards shared prosperity.
