Ministry of Agriculture's Undersecretary praises FAO for supporting agricultural development…
Khartoum, March 14 (SUNA) – The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Ali Gadoum Al-Ghali reviewed Monday with the representative of the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Sudan Abdi Gamia, in the presence of the Coordinator of IFAD Projects in Sudan, the Technical Cooperation Projects between the ministry and the organization.
Dr. Al-Ghali underscored importance of joint action with the international organizations to develop agriculture in both agrarian and livestock sectors.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture underlined the importance of working with FAO to develop agriculture and to achieve the objectives of the ministry and its production policies, praising the organization’s efforts and support to the agriculture, particularly water harvesting programs, agricultural census, Development of forests, sustainable development and information systems as one of the mechanisms for the development of the agricultural sector.
On his part, FAO representative stressed their readiness and support to the efforts of the ministry to implement the plans for the development of agricultural production and the joint action with the partners to achieve food security.
