Minister of International and Cooperation Address to the Weekly Forum of Information Ministry

The Federal ministry of information had launched its weekly forum where the Minister of International Cooperation Dr. said. Kamal Hassan Ali has addressed  the dialogue amid local and international media, columnists, journalists  and confirmed Sudan joining  the World Trade Organization is the  most powerful way of structural and economic, technical reform, and has shown in the (Wednesday weekly interview), organized by the General Administration affairs of the spokesperson office in Ministry of Information   said the government is making intensive efforts to join through a higher committee chaired by the Vice President of the Republic and seeking during which full to oversee the creation of the Sudan  economy to cope with the challenges of globalization and modernization join initiated by Sudan since 1994. The minster noted that the world body has agreed to Japan’s chairmanship of the working group of the Sudan, and Sudan will be presented at the twenty-fifth of August t under the  unofficial documents which now is running ,  expected to   testifies next year and  Sudan will join the formal World Trade Organization, and the number   the benefits that will accrue to Sudan in case  of joining the organization will be excellent It highlights some of the benefits of the WTO’s trading system, It provides more choice of products and qualities. Noting that Sudan provided to the organization on the list of least developed countries to make the most from joining features within that class of the International Organization the minster said, the efforts of the ministry in order to benefit from foreign aid and the construction and development capacity provided by international and regional financial institutions, and indicated that the ministry’s efforts during this year managed to attract organizations and agencies which support the stability of eastern state of Sudan through the United Nations and its agencies, of which the Japanese grant amounting to 200 million dollars. And support the Darfur development project  of through the implementation of 12 projects at a cost of 88 million dollars, said the ministry is seeking to strengthen the relationship with the European Union(EU), which represented the ongoing food security projects and basic education and health services, natural resources and improve the standard of living and reproductive health, adding that(USAID )has provided projects to Sudan, including a program the supply of water through  dams rehabilitation Tawila dam” and support the stability of peace amid the Darfur communities, the minister said that   US aid projects amounted to over 298 million dollars. Besides implementing the ongoing International Cooperation German projects, the minister said that Japan is one of the biggest countries that provide aid in Sudan through Japan international corporation agency  (JICA), where it presented a project with US$170) million, along with projects  that provided by South Korea, Italy, Turkey, Britain and France. The Minister of international cooperation said that his ministry is studying the projects and had the field and restrict and prioritize, the minster stressed that to disagree between his ministry and others, but is limited to the task of his ministry in the preparation and follow-up for all forms of international cooperation with a joint and integrated coordination with similar in the work of the ministry authorities or administering overseas aid. The goal of the ministry is to   promote sustainable development and eliminate world poverty.
