Justice Minister to Lead Sudan’s Delegation at Arab Justice Ministers Council in Egypt.


Cairo: Minister of Justice Dr. Moawia Osman Mohamed Khair is set to lead Sudan’s delegation at the 40th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice, scheduled to convene on Thursday in Egypt. This session brings together representatives from various Arab nations to discuss pivotal legal and judicial issues.

According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting will focus on several key topics, including the Arab Convention for Combating Terrorism and its implementation mechanisms, as well as the Arab Convention for Combating Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism. Additionally, the agenda includes discussions on the Arab Convention for Combating Information Technology and the review of several draft laws and agreements.

The Council of Arab Ministers of Justice operates as a specialized ministerial council within the League of Arab States. Its objectives include enhancing Arab cooperation in the legal and judicial sectors, developing legal and judicial frameworks to adapt to modern developments, and ensur
ing judicial independence. This session underscores the ongoing commitment to fostering collaboration and strengthening the judicial systems across Arab nations.
