Jordan participates in Foodex Japan 2016

Tokyo, March 15 (Petra) — Jordan’s Zalloum Group international food company is taking part in Foodex Japan 2016, that kicked off late Monday at the International convention complex in Chiba province in Tokyo.

The group Managing Director, Samer Zalloum, told Petra that the company’s participation comes upon an invitation from Japan’s External Trade Organization (JETRO), following a visit by their representatives to the factories during which they took a first hand look at the methods of productions.

Zalloum Group will exhibit two items of their products, including canned chick peas and marshmallow biscuits, which are well known products for consumers in Japan, he added.

FOODEX JAPAN is the largest annual food and beverage trade show in Asia and has been a highly successful trade event since its debut in 1976 serving not only Japan’s $700 billion food market but many lucrative Asian markets.

In addition to Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon, the event attracts exhibitors from 70 countries representing Asia, Africa, Europe, as well as the North and South America, with around 70,000 professional buyers. The exhibition includes business matching opportunities and access to diverse sales channels.

Zalloum Group is one of the largest food factories in Jordan, with exports accounting for over 75% of its total sales. The products are totally sold in four continents including Asia, Africa, Europe and the USA .
