IOM South Sudan Monthly Update – February 2019
Insecurity in Yei continued, with active conflict between opposition and government forces causing displacement of conflict-affected communities and blocking IOM's access to key Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) screening sites.
The inaccessibility caused delays in gathering information from the site, as well as hurdles for delivering services in the areas concerned. Cattle raids also caused conflict in various parts of the country. However, the peace process continued to advance between the Government and other opposition groups, with peace celebrations taking place throughout the country
