Addis Ababa: Acting Minister of Industry Mahasin Ali Yagoub has announced the implementation of various projects in Kassala, Al-Gadarif, and Port Sudan states with Canadian support amounting to 6 million euros and Italian support amounting to 3 million euros.

According to Sudan News Agency, this announcement was made during her meeting with the Director of United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Mr. Gerd Mller, on the sidelines of the World Without Hunger conference held in Addis Ababa from November 5-7. The Minister emphasized that the ministry has prioritized implementing projects focusing on small-scale and handicraft industries for women and youth.

The Minister stressed that the Ministry of Industry is keen on developing and advancing agricultural manufacturing to achieve added value, maximize returns, and provide job opportunities for youth and women. The projects are expected to significantly contribute to the local economy of the regions involved, promoting sustainable development
and economic growth.
