Governor’s daughter donates 10 motorcycles to security forces in Lakes

Ayen Makur Kulang Liei, the daughter of Lakes State governor, Makur Kulang Liei, on Saturday donated 10 Senke motorcycles to security forces in the state.
The press secretary of the governor of Lakes State, Mayor Mou Adhor, told Radio Tamazuj that the donation of motorcycles to security forces will help the state government check the rampant insecurity in far-flung areas of the state where criminals hide.
Ayen Makur Kulang Liei, a businesswoman in Juba, said she will be happy as a daughter of Lakes State to see stability and peace in the state.
“I didn’t donate these 10 motorcycles just because I am a daughter of Governor Makur Kulang Liei. I donated these motorcycles for security purposes because I am a daughter of Lakes State and I am also concerned about the insecurity and I want stability,” Ayen Makur Kulang said.
She urged the general public not to misconstrue her gesture because of her father’s position, “I am a business lady here in Juba doing so many businesses and this is not the first time for me to donate things to the state. I have been doing it to other people when I am requested.”
She said her father came to Juba and requested her for help. “We don’t go out to help when they don’t request us. It is when they came to us asking for help, this is when we gave them the donation.”
Mayor Mou said the daughter of the governor was not the only well-wisher to donate motorcycles to the Lakes State government, but two other people, Mayom Tulba and Deng Makuak also donated ten motorcycles each to security forces in the state.
He added that the governor of Lakes State, Makur Kulang Liei, has promised to donate ten motorcycles on loan to community chiefs for security work in all the state’s counties.
He said the total donations of motorcycles to security forces in Lakes State from well-wishers and the governor is fifty motorcycles and that they will be distributed to all the counties of Lakes State.
