Khartoum: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Abdullah Ibrahim, has announced the submission of the features, guidelines, and objectives of the general budget for the fiscal year 2025 to the Council of Ministers. This step marks the beginning of the budgetary process as the documents will be discussed in the meeting of the Cabinet’s technical committees before moving on to the ministerial sectors for approval.

According to Sudan News Agency, this procedural step is crucial for setting the financial framework for the upcoming fiscal year. The discussions by the technical committees are expected to pave the way for the preparation of the draft budget, aligning it with national economic objectives and priorities for 2025.
