Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has denied that Abdulrahman Ahmed Khalid Sharfi, the former Sudanese Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), had any official title that would have qualified him to issue official statements or any relationship with the Sudanese Embassy in Abu Dhabi since his mandatory retirement in October 2024.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a clarification statement on Thursday addressing the circulation of what was allegedly an “official statement” attributed to Abdulrahman Ahmed Khalid Sharfi. The Ministry emphasized that regardless of the authenticity of the statement, Sharfi does not hold any official title that would allow him to speak on behalf of the state. His connection with the Sudanese Embassy in Abu Dhabi concluded when he was mandatorily retired last October.
