Munich: Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ali Youssef met with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference. The meeting highlighted the ongoing cooperation and strong relationship between Sudan and Kuwait.
According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. Youssef expressed gratitude on behalf of the Sudanese government and people for Kuwait’s supportive actions, particularly the operation of an air bridge for humanitarian aid. This gesture signifies the robust relationship between the two nations. Dr. Youssef also conveyed greetings from General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, to His Highness Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jabir Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait.
In response, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya affirmed the Emir’s keen interest in Sudan’s situation and his hope for peace and stability to return to the country. He expressed confidence in TSC President Al-Burhan’s leadership to achieve security and stability in Sudan.
The discussion concluded with an agreement to resume joint cooperation mechanisms and activate the Kuwaiti food security project in Sudan, which aims to provide mutual benefits for both nations.
