Foreign Minister Engages with Saudi Counterpart at Riyadh Summit.


Riyadh: Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Dr. Ali Yousuf Ahmed Al-Sharif met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, during his participation in the emergency Arab-Islamic Summit currently being held in Riyadh. The Foreign Minister expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for hosting the summit, which reflects the interest of the Saudi leadership in the Palestinian cause and the issues of the Islamic world.

According to Sudan News Agency, Ambassador Dr. Al-Sharif thanked His Highness the Foreign Minister for the ongoing support that Saudi Arabia has extended to Sudan, particularly in the humanitarian field during the current period. The discussions between the two foreign ministers centered on enhancing the relations between their countries, focusing on strengthening cooperation mechanisms and Saudi efforts to support Sudan in political and humanitarian realms.

d the issue of regularizing the status of Sudanese residents in the Kingdom, especially those who arrived in Saudi Arabia after the outbreak of conflict. The matters of granting residencies, providing educational opportunities for children, job prospects, and medical care were addressed. His Highness the Emir, Minister of Foreign Affairs, affirmed the continuation of Saudi support for Sudan, emphasizing the bonds of brotherhood between the two nations.

Both sides agreed to maintain liaison and coordination on all regional and international issues.
