Foreign Minister Engages with New UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan

Khartoum: The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohy-Eddin Salim, received the credentials of Ms. Denise Brown, the UN Resident Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Sudan at his office.

According to Sudan News Agency, the Minister conveyed the Sudanese government’s appreciation for the United Nations’ assistance in the country, particularly in providing humanitarian aid and alleviating the ongoing suffering caused by the war affecting the Sudanese people. He assured Ms. Brown of the readiness of all state institutions to collaborate and coordinate with the UN Office in Sudan.

Ms. Brown expressed her pleasure in working in Sudan, committing to work with the Sudanese government to provide assistance and gather the necessary support to address the essential needs of the affected population.
