Khartoum: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Ali Youssef, met with the Director-General of Political Affairs at the British Foreign Office, Dr. Christian Turner, on Saturday. The meeting focused on enhancing dialogue and fostering positive engagement between Sudan and the United Kingdom.

According to Sudan News Agency, the Minister elaborated on the evolving situation within the country and outlined the government’s measures to ensure humanitarian aid reaches those in need. Dr. Al-Sharif emphasized the importance of Sudan and the United Kingdom working collaboratively as allies rather than engaging in confrontational stances on international platforms, which have historically yielded little benefit.

Dr. Al-Sharif further stated that any initiatives or activities concerning Sudan should be undertaken with the government’s involvement and approval to ensure they are effective. In response, Mr. Turner reiterated his government’s commitment to maintaining open dialogue with Sudan and confirmed plans to dispatch a high-level delegation to Sudan in the near future.
