Khartoum: Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Dr. Gibril Ibrahim met with the Iranian Minister of National Economy, Abdul-Nasser Hemmati, during his visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to Sudan News Agency, Hemmati emphasized Iran’s commitment to supporting Sudan across various economic and industrial sectors. He highlighted Sudan’s strategic importance due to its geographical location, varied climates, access to ports, and diverse resources.

In a press statement on Saturday, Dr. Gibril Ibrahim discussed the challenges facing Sudan, including the aggression and vandalism perpetrated by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. He expressed gratitude to Iran for its support during these challenging times.

Furthermore, Dr. Gibril Ibrahim extended an invitation to Abdul-Nasser Hemmati to visit Sudan. He encouraged the Iranian Minister to send a delegation to explore opportunities for collaboration and discuss mutual interests between the two nations.
