Finance Minister Leads Sudan’s Delegation at Arab Sustainable Development Week in Cairo.


Cairo: Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Dr. Geibriel Ibrahim is leading Sudan’s delegation at the Arab Sustainable Development Week, held in Cairo from November 24-27. The event, organized by the League of Arab States in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation of Egypt, is being held under the auspices of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and carries the theme “Sustainable Solutions for a Better Future”.

According to Sudan News Agency, the event’s themes include technology and innovation, climate change, sustainable financing, food security, achieving sustainable development in conflict-affected countries in the Arab region, and human security. The week also features the Arab Regional High-Level Forum on Investment and Sustainability, aimed at enhancing the sustainable investment environment and supporting the goals of sustainable development as a catalyst for economic growth in the Arab region.

Dr. Ibrahim’s participation is in response to an in
vitation from the Egyptian Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation. Also attending the event is Dr. Mohamed Bashar, Undersecretary of Planning at Sudan’s Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning.
