DEPUTY FM OF BELARUS CALLS ON SUDAN’S FIRST VEEP
KHARTOUM, -- Sudanese First Vice-President General Bakri Hassan Saleh has commended Belarus for its support in the election to membership of the Executive Council of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco).
This came when Gen. Saleh met here Thursday with the visiting Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister in the presence of the State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Kamal Edeen Ismail.
The meeting discussed Sudanese-Belarusian co-operation in all domains, including agriculture, industry, science and health.
The Belarusian official said his country considered Sudan an important partner in the Middle East and Africa, indicating that the leadership in his country worked for the development of relations with Sudan.
Ismail said the visit comes in the context of holding the third session of the political consultation between the two countries.
