DEFENCE MINISTER OF SUDAN, SOUTH SUDAN DISCUSS JOINT MILITARY, SECURITY ISSUES
KHARTOUM, -- A meeting was held here Sunday between delegations led by Sudanese Defence Minister Lieutenant-General Awad Mohamed Ahmed Ibin Aouf and his South Sudan counterpart, Major-General Kual Mathiang Jock to discuss issues of mutual concern n conjunction with the visit of the First Vice-President of South Sudan, Taban Deng Gai, and his delegation to Khartoum.
Gen Ismat Abdul Rahman, Sudan's Interior Minister, and Lt-Gen Imad Eddin Mustafa Adawi, the Chief of the Staff, as well as Gen Ali Mohamed Salim, the State Minister for Defense and Security, Usama Mukhtar, the Deputy Chief of the Sudan National Security and intelligence Service (NISS), also took part in the meeting on the Sudanese side.
The South Sudan side included Tut Galwak, the Adviser to the President of South Sudan, General Thomas Duwas, the Director of south Sudan intelligence services, as well as the South Sudan Ambassador in Khartoum and as well as the military attache.
The meeting discussed also means for developing relations between the two countries.
