Portsudan: The Governor of Darfur Region, Minni Arko Minawi, who is also the Chairman of the Sudan Liberation Army Movement (SLAM), returned to Sudan on Tuesday evening following his participation in a Major Political Symposium organized by Sudanese nationals in Paris. These discussions centered around issues of peace, humanitarian action, and the future of bilateral relations between Sudan and France.
In addition
, the Governor met with the Director of Emergency Operations at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) to discuss the facilitation of entry visas to Sudan and the delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need. This is particularly critical for the city of El-Fasher and the surrounding camps, including the Zamzam camp for internally displaced persons (IDPs), which rely heavily on MSF for support.
Accompanying the Governor during his visit to France was Engineer Abdel-Bagi Mohamed Hamid, who serves as the Director General of Social Welfare and Humanitarian Aid Coordinator for the Regional Government.
