Khartoum: The Security and Defense Council held an emergency meeting on Tuesday with its full membership, chaired by President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan. General Al-Burhan stated, “Our message to those who are plotting against the Sudanese people is that the people, their armed forces, and their supporting forces would not yield to them, no matter the attacks or trials and tribulations they face.”
According to Sudan News Agency, General Al-Burhan emphasized that the resolve of the Sudanese people remains unbroken, maintaining strength and steadfastness. He highlighted that the facilities vandalized belong to the people, who will work to rebuild them. He further explained that the vandalization of infrastructure does not affect their inner strength or spirit.
The TSC President stressed that strength is drawn from the pride and dignity of the people and their long history of pride and honor. He pointed out that this his
tory is deeply rooted in humanity, not a recent development in civilization, underscoring the long-standing history of the Sudanese state and its people. General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan expressed confidence that the Sudanese people will ultimately prevail.
He declared that the rebels and their supporters would be defeated, stating, “We are capable of eliminating this aggression with the help of the people and the support of the armed forces and the supporting forces.” The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces pledged that the armed forces would pursue the rebels wherever they are to eliminate them. He added, “We will not rest until these rebels and those who support and back them are eliminated.” General Al-Burhan warned that the current situation poses a threat to regional and international security and the lives of millions of citizens due to the destruction of infrastructure and civilian facilities, as well as the threat to the Red Sea shipping lane.
