Khartoum: The Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan (CBoS), Burae Siddig, has stressed the importance of the “Electronic Payment, a Step Towards Digital Transformation and Financial Inclusion” workshop in coming up with recommendations that contribute to enhancing efficiency in financial services. The CBoS governor said, during his address to the workshop on Wednesday at Al Rabwa Hotel, that this workshop came at an important and pivotal time, especially in light of developments on the economic front, considering that digital transformation is a fundamental pillar for achieving economic and social development.

According to Sudan News Agency, the governor thanked everyone who contributed to preparing the workshop. He added, “We look forward to the papers presented to provide opinions that help improve performance and achieve the desired goal of strengthening the digital economy in Sudan.”
